Lima’s Rio Seco Revealed as Real!
The NORTH LAKE TRAVIS LOG covers Lago Vista, Texas (as well as Jonestown, Point Venture, four smaller communities, and the entire North Shore of Lake Travis from Marble Falls to Cedar Park/Leander) and they recently ran an article/interview on Maria Lima and her BLOOD LINES SERIES. (Sorry they aren’t online. Can’t provide a link.)
Here’s the scoop: Maria Lima’s fictional Texas Hill Country locale of Rio Seco is… a version of Lago Vista! She did most of her growing up years there. Admittedly, it has been awhile since Maria’s visited — they didn’t have a traffic light when she lived there, now they do — but the inspiration is obvious. There is no evidence, however, that Keira Kelly, her Clan, vampires, or other supernaturals reside there.
We hope that Maria’s books become so successful that Lago (already a tourism destination for those who like golf, water skiing, boating, etc) will suffer/enjoy the plague and/or welcome tourism Stephanie Meyer’s books have brought to Forks, WA.

We were just there this summer. I’ll have to read the books now.
