Destiny sucks...

There was a time when Persephone Alcmedi thought her life was hard to manage, what with wondering how to make sure she took adequate care of both her grandmother and her foster daughter, Beverley, whether she'd end up in the unwanted position of high priestess of a coven, and whether her waerewolf lover, Johnny, would resist the groupies who hang around his band Lycanthropia. But that was before the fairies started demanding that Seph's frightening, unpredictable ally--the ancient vampire Menessos--be destroyed... or the world will suffer. Seph and Menessos are magically bonded, but that's a secret she dares not reveal to her fellow witches lest they be forced to reject her and forbid her use of magic. And, despite the strain this casts on her relationship with Johnny, as a showdown with the fairies nears, she and Menessos badly need the waerewolves as allies.

Life, death, and love are all on the line, but when destiny is calling, it doesn't help to turn away. With the individual threads of their fates twisted inextricably together, can Seph, Johnny, and Menessos keep the world safe from fairy vengeance?

Reviews of Fatal Circle

"Fatal Circle by Linda Robertson brought tears to my eyes. The emotional depth of each character lapped at my feet and tried to lure me in. I could either drown in the possible sorrows or learn to swim by trial by fire. Reading this series has been like watching a child grow, from a wobbly toddler first learning about its world in Vicious Circle, to an obstinate, hormonal teen in Hallowed Circle, to an adult, sure of itself and ready to take on the world in Fatal Circle.

"Seph is one of those characters you can't help but admire. She's levelheaded and confident, thinks through the situation instead of around it, and, most importantly, cares more about her family and loved ones than herself. On this leg of her journey, she's realized her feelings for Johnny, her waerewolf roomie and bodyguard, are deeper than sexual attraction. Yes, he's a vital part of her role as Lustrata, but he's also a vital part of her life. Period. He is the wall she can lean on, no matter what, and I adore him for it. You can tell he doesn't want the responsibilities that are thrust upon him in Fatal Circle, but he takes them on, for Seph and for his pack, because it's "the right thing for the right reason". Watching him grow from the sexy, flirty rock star to the compassionate boyfriend has been more enjoyable than I can possibly describe.

"Even Menessos was enjoyable in Fatal Circle! No, not enjoyable--amazing. We're given insight into his past, his motivations, and his true feelings. He's still his usual, obstinate self, bending Seph to his will in new and ingenious ways, but now the reader knows why. When push comes to shove, Menessos is there for Seph. He makes the biggest sacrifice, by far, in this story, and I can't wait to find out what the repercussions will be. "There are so many questions left unanswered at the end of Fatal Circle. I've already attempted to bribe Linda into answering some of them, but she's not budging. It's not fair! I have to know what Johnny desired the most, and what he gave Seph. I have to know what will become of Menessos and the Elementals. And what are they going to do for Beverly's birthday?" (5/5 Tombstones) -- Bitten by Books

"The third urban fantasy Circle tale finds the heroine overwhelmed, but not just by her destiny. Seph struggles with a complicated romance with her Waere while bonded to her Vamp, a High Noon confrontation with the Fairies or killing her bonded Vamp, and the most difficult mission of all is what to do about Beverly's upcoming birthday while Nana hovers. Seph and the cast makes for a strong thriller as she and her sidekicks want to insure the monsters don't devour Cleveland (as Maynard G Krebs would have said.)" -- Alternative Worlds

"I loved this series and this book did not disappoint!

All the things I loved about the previous books were still there...but it was also so much more! I love Persephone, and while I'm never a big fan of stories with 'The One' ...in this series it worked perfectly...One thing I absolutely LOVED, his Seph's magic! The rituals were not ordinary and she explains why she uses this or that, I was fascinated. Something I loved since the first book is when Seph goes into 'Alpha' mode and does meditation. The symbolisms of everything in her 'inner place' were amazing, it felt like we were with her on her journey to discover her true self. That's one of the best thing about this series (well that and Hot Johnny... and Hot Menessos LOL).

I'm hooked baby! The last chapters are EPIC, wow...*my lips are sealed*...Fatal Circle was amazing and I had a lot of fun reading it. It has this little something more that kept me hooked all book long! I cannot wait for Arcane Circle. I recommend this book (Hell, I recommend the whole SERIES) to all fans of UF who wants a lovable heroine and sexy heroes.

I give Fatal Circle 4.5 Bookies ('cause Susi said I couldn't give it 4.75/5)" -- Book Lovers Inc

Reviews of Hallowed Circle and Vicious Circle

"Linda Robertson's first novel, Vicious Circle, was a fun read, and its sequel, Hallowed Circle, is even better. In this second installment, Robertson spins a highly original plot (if this has been done in urban fantasy before, it was in a book I missed!), further develops her characters and the relationships among them, and as an added bonus, passes the Bechdel Test with flying colors...I've often praised authors for creating a sense of place. Robertson creates a vivid sense of time. Hallowed Circle takes place during the Halloween season and it really feels like it, in every detail. "I couldn't put Hallowed Circle down. Between the sympathetic characters, the well-grounded magical lore, and an exciting plot in which nothing is quite what it seems, this is a standout urban fantasy. (4.5 Stars)-- FantasyLiterature.com

"[Hallowed Circle] has a good plot told in the first person by a feisty heroine with a sense of humor. Well-developed supernatural characters, mystery, and a touch of romance add up to an out-of-this-world thriller." (4 Stars) --

"Robertson brings back the magic and mayhem that made Vicious Circle such a great read. Her first-person narrative puts you inside the heroine's head, and the colorful secondary cast adds depth. The witches, vampires, werewolves, and fae live in a realistically portrayed hierarchy. Twists, turns and narrow escapes keep the pages turning." (4.5 stars)--RT Book Reviews

"I thought this series was already good when I read Vicious Circle, but after finishing Hallowed Circle I am now a true fan of author Linda Robertson. She brings exciting characters with a good story line that equals...pure magic. Witches, werewolves and romance...oh my! I enjoyed getting to see Persephone come into her powers and accept her fate more. I really hope she and Johnny work things out as they are a good couple together. Can't wait to see what new obstacles Persephone tackles in the next book."(4 Angels)-- Fallen Angels

"FOUR STARS! If you have not read the previous title, Vicious Circle, do not fret. The author gives enough information that you will not feel lost or confused. As with the first book, this title continues the story of magic, corruption, and the paranormal. Readers will find themselves swept off their feet, without the use of a broomstick, and into a dangerous world that is teetering on the edge of a war between the non-humans. Very entertaining!"--Huntress Reviews

"I fell in love with both the story and the characters after the first book, Vicious Circle...the kind of book that startled you into laughing and hooked you on the characters' lives. I had high hopes for Hallowed Circle and Linda Robertson did not disappoint....Robertson writes a very clever novel that incorporates the paranormal, romance, comedy, some Arthurian legends and even some vocabulary lessons... She has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I look forward to any additional books she has up her sleeve, both in this series and any others."--Good Reads

"Persephone is not the misanthropic heroine you might expect. She has a lot of emotional boundaries that keep her from being a social butterfly, but at the same time, she has a powerful protective streak when it comes to those she cares about. "Do you always take care of people?" asks a young girl whom Persephone has just taken under her wing. The answer is yes. In the early pages of Vicious Circle, Persephone finds herself sheltering her grandmother, a Great Dane puppy, a severely injured werewolf, and the aforementioned little girl, along with her usual canine visitors. As the plot unfolds, trying to protect everyone is a full-time job. I found this aspect of Persephone's character refreshing and unusual. "(4 Stars) -- Fantasyliterature. com

"I just finished [Hallowed Circle], like ten minutes ago and I'm still coming back down from a intense book high. I loved Book 1, Vicious Circle, and this second installment of the Persephone Alcmedi series just made this series a must buy for me.... As I said on my review of Book 1, this is not a groundbreaking series nor does it reinvent the wheel. But Linda has definitely taken much thats has been proven right and true in the Urban Fantasy genre and made it her own. I love how this series is progressing."--Larissa's Life
